Take a wander through Darlington town centre this Mental Health Awareness Week and beyond and see what you can spot along the way.
In shop windows across the town, you’ll find familiar faces from Mr. Men and Little Miss, celebrating the National Year of Reading and brought to life by local primary schools and Darlington Mind clients. These characters may look familiar, but each one has a different story to tell.
Mr Lazy might not be lazy at all.Mr Grumpy might actually be worried.Little Miss Busy might just need a rest.
Each window gently challenges the labels we place on people and encourages us to look a little deeper.
This is a simple, free activity for all ages, with no set route - just something to enjoy as you’re out and about. See how many characters you can find, and take a moment to read, reflect and talk together.
The trail is a fun and thoughtful way to mark Mental Health Awareness Week, encouraging conversations about feelings, kindness and understanding...one window at a time.
