Volunteering

We provide a wide range of housing, community and day services to many different people every week and we rely on a band of dedicated volunteers to support the work we do.

If you have 'lived experience' of mental health problems, specialist skills, a counselling diploma or nursing background, or are a retired health and social care professional, we'd love to hear from you.

Activity Group Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to assist with the running and administration of our activity groups including supporting attendees towards their personal goals for mental health wellbeing and recovery:

  • Digital Skils Classes
  • Social Drop In and Music Appreciation (including live rehearsal)
  • Horticulture
  • Mini-bus Driver

Events Volunteers

Driver Support Worker

We are looking for a volunteer to drive the company’s minibus and support our clients.

Volunteer Children & Young People's Counsellor

We are looking for volunteer counsellors to work with children and young people in the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas to help meet the great demand for support with increasing numbers needing help to support their emotional and mental health.

Reporting to the service manager, the assignment may require you to work in one specified school, college or venue or in several across Hambleton or Richmondshire.  We can also offer home-working delivering counselling sessions via phone or MS Teams to support young people not in education, such as home schooled, NEETs and home or hospital, may also be required.  We will cover the cost of clinical supervision.

Application deadline: 31/10/24

Hours - day/s and time/s to be agreed with the Head of Service.
